Snow Clouds and Sunbursts // Winter Skies

You've already seen that title once, I know; since it is such a reoccurring theme on my blog, I've decided to make it a series.  =)

I glanced out the window the afternoon before snow was expected and saw these rather unsual clouds . . . of course, it aroused my curiosity, and I was out with my camera in a flash! (...no pun intended there...)

Ice Skating at Crown Center // Group event

My friend organized an outing to Crown Center for ice skating, and we had a great turnout of families from our church. The weather was nice, just around freezing and though the lighting was extremely tricky, my 50mm lens did a pretty good job and I was able to capture a lot of shots without using my flash! =D

Autumns leaves retain their colour...

They beckoned to me as I stood at the window.
Autumn's leftover leaves, normally a lifeless, monotone brown, now lit up in rich jewel tones of Amber, Topaz, and light Ruby, the change brought on by the golden evening light, as they lay scattered throughout the grass.

It never ceases to amaze me, how the light can change something so utterly dull and boring, into something of great beauty.
Like the way our lives change when God's light shines through our lives.
It's amazing.

Rather amazing also, were the dried roses I found still clinging to the rosebush. The petals were actually still hanging on!

I really rather like winter.

God bless,
