Situated in the Ozark mountains . . .
Where the trees are 60ft tall- (or so it seems)
...and reflections are everywhere.
Where the water sparkles and bubbles on it's never ending trip down the river . . .
And the fish flash silver as they flip and swirl in warm patches of sunlight.
Of course, where there's fish there's fishermen . . (Our main reason for camping)
And hikes through the shady forest.
New kinds of flowers to learn about . . .
Time to thank the Creator for such beautiful creation . . . .
Time to make pictures with watercolor . .
Wild Strawberries!
Watching the river transform at golden hour . . .
Watching the birds soar gracefully above . . .
And, of course, watching the mesmerizing changes of fire. ;) (With marshmallows on the side)
I'll elaborate more on some of these things in my next post!
What is camping like for you? =)
Through His Grace,
~Jenny
These are gorgeous shots, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteI think I take camping for granted (since its a usual activity of mine during the summer), but I honestly believe that if I could live in a tent for the rest of my life, I would :-)
Why thanks Eva! =)
DeleteOh, I would live in a tent too! Or, at least in a tree house. (Maybe some mix in between?)
The photo of the river at golden hour... Mmmm, I want to be there!
ReplyDeleteI love water; rivers, oceans, rain, snow... And the "reflections" photos are beautiful:)
Camping means family time! Exploring and getting lost;) Looks like you're having fun! I think my family is going camping sometime soon! :D
Elisabeth
Mmm, it would have been great to have a photographer friend to enjoy there with me! ;)
DeleteOh goody! I'm glad you liked the reflection photos, because that is one of the things I'm going to elaborate on! =)
Exploring and getting lost..hehe, True! I have done both at Roaring river! =D
Good to hear from you, I miss your comments during the school year. =)
Wow, I love this! I just went hiking for the first time a few weeks ago, and this post totally made me miss it! I love walking in the woods praying, feeling like the only person around. Great shots! The watercolor is really nice, too. :)
ReplyDeleteHehe, from seeing all your posts that issued forth from that first experience, I had a feeling you would really like this post! =D
DeleteThank you! I'm considering putting more of my art on my blog. =)
Hi, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I popped in to visit your blog. I love the reflection photos! And the hills are making me nostalgic . . . I used to live in the Ozark hills, and I miss them quite a bit.
-Lydia
Well thanks for stopping by Lydia! =D
DeleteOhhh the reflections...I must have dozens of pictures of them...<3 You used to LIVE there? No way! =D Well, I'm glad I could bring back some of those memories for ya. =)
