Cicadas - Read at your own risk

Some people just don't like them, and if you're that kind of person . . . you don't wanna look.
Though I like the little critters. They're actually pretty harmless, noisy, but harmless. They can't bite you because they don't have teeth, rather they suck plant juices with something like a butterfly's proboscis.
Other than that they only fly around haphazardly, bounce off tree branches, get chased by cardinals and picked up by 17 year old photo bloggers (Aka "phloggers")
Hence, after much waffling back and forth on the issue, I finally decided to post my pictures of 'em.

So...I'm weird and I like bugs, I think they're pretty cool and with my camera I can see some things about them I wouldn't otherwise observe.
This critter was fast but I got a couple clear shots that I thought I'd share. =)
