Snowy Sunday

I really like this picture for some reason. Just the tips of grass pokin' out o' the snow.

Our church backs up to some woods, and there's some flower boxes and roses scattered around, which were freshly frosted with snow the night before.    =)

Days of Autumn 22 : Last Oak trees

For reals! When I did the 1st couple "Days of Autumn" I really thought there would only be one post of Oak trees/leaves. But I should've guessed I would find more Oak trees to capture! =D
So this is the last one. Probably. That I'll post anyway. Most likely... I'll keep you posted. ;)

Notice how the leaves go from light to dark shadows.... = Cool.  =D

Ever looked up the trunk of a tree and seen this?

And then, gone in even closer with your spiffy camera?

Inverting my pictures doesn't usually add to them much, but with this one it rather did. =) (and yes, I made it b&w first)

The last evening light lights up a few lucky leaves here and there . . .

~Jenny, who wishes you all a happy first of December!

Days of Autumn 16 : Oak and Acorn

Which came first? The Oak or the Acorn?

This one was taken with my old camera . . .

And, I added the sunburst in this one. =)

Personally, I think the Oak came first, after all :

"And God said 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good."

~Genesis 1 : 11 - 12
