Little Green Buds

I'm kind of a leafy person,

and I'm a Green kind of person,

So, naturally, I take pictures of Little Green Leaves . . .

 . . . Because I just love them. ♥  (Big surprise there!)

And more importantly, it's enthralling and humbling to reflect on the fact that I know the One who thought them up, created them, and sparked in me an appreciation for them.

They're just leaves after all.

Still, they declare His glory by doing just what He made them to do.

I think we  I could learn a lesson from these leaves; they don't compare themselves to flowers and wish they smelled good, they don't try to stay the same size, and they don't wish they were a Ladybug that could fly! They're content to be little green leaves.

They don't complain about it either.

Like it says in Philippians 2 : 14-16  (Paul writing)

"Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holing fast to the Word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain."

God Bless!

  1. Oh how I wish spring was here for me:( I've complained about this before:P Sorry to bore you, and at the risk of sounding repetitive: These photos are lovely:) I so badly want to see the delicate buds again! The fifth and the tenth are my personal favorites, although I feel that you could up the contrast a little bit; this may only be my style and taste, but :P
    So long!

  3. Wow, I love how you said this :) You're so right. The little green leaves don't compare themselves or try to stay the same size or anything ridiculous like that. They are content in being what they were made to be, little green leaves. And that gives glory to God! Great thought provoking post :D
