* Sunlit Snow *

Overcast, snowy days are great, I love them, but Sunlit snowy days are even better, because the sun makes pretty much everything sparkle and shimmer.

Then all a sudden, I looked over:

Iceicles!!!

 . . . The result of melting snow dripping and freezing down the picnic table.  =)

A bunch of them had already fallen down:

Which made a nice picture if you got the right angle!

~Jenny, who has still some more snowy pictures, due to the fact that she took 'bout a hundred in one day, and lots on other days, and we've had snow on the ground for two weeks +  they would've  made for too long of a post (like this run-on sentence) so I've split them up into smaller posts, and you can pretty much expect snowy scenes for the next week. =D
Sound good?
Good.

Frosted trees n' Such

 Am I the only one who thinks of a frosting on a cupcake when I see this picture?

Now this is a rare tree; probably one of the only Crab-and Snowapple trees in Kansas.   ;)

The birds have been munchin' away . . . .

Another Snowapple tree?
No, actually these are Snow Squirrels, they are only seen when there's inches upon inches of heavy snow. They often get mistaken for snowballs though, so they tend to stick to the trees.

   * Snow is a lovely thing, is it not?  *

~Jenny

For those of you still wondering abou the Snowapple trees and Snow Squirrels, yes I pulled your leg on that one. ;)

* It was a Wet and Snow- Frosted Morning *

Shooting through a window covered in melted snow is . . .  is funky!
I rather like the effect .

Drooooooopy, droopy tree branches.

I like the way this Juniper tree balloons out at the bottom. It's almost as if it was encased in snow, and then, I dunno, maybe it sneezed and blew it all off.  ;)
(There's a nice mental image for ya', a nice picturesque snow covered pine tree one moment, the next; it looks like the one below!)

Anyway,

The igloo my friend and I made out of a snow pile left from the snowplow . . . (It only seats one)

 * * ~Jenny,

who has some MORE snowy pictures with some sunshine, sunset and ice in 'em, that will be posted tomorrow.  =)    * *

And a Happy Weekend to you all!
