I particularly like this one . . . Laughter and Green leaves . . . what could be better?
Another favorite! ♥
We're very blessed to have a backyard with such variety, not only in plants, but also various structures around the yard. =)
Ahhhh . . . I've seen this splendid background many a time before in my mind; to see it actually work in reality is sweet to the soul. ♥
♥ Another favorite . . . ♥
One thing you will soon notice about me: I. Love. Using. Natural. Frames.
(The greener the better)
♥ LOVE ♥
You're likin' her unique hairstyle aren't you? She thought it up herself. =)
As some of you portrait photographers might have noticed, it was a lovely overcast day, with the kind of clouds that imitate a giant softbox, resulting in the even, soft light.
Which is great for portraits.
However . . .
. . . I am a lover of bright, glowy, "WOW" light, so we did another shoot the next sunny day; photos from that, next week! =D
God Bless!

OH, wow. Jenny! These are won.der.ful! I can't believe you are getting such beautiful portraits with your new gear already (not that I didn't think you COULD)! Your sister is just loverli-ness =)(with a beautiful heart too, if I might add). I have a lot of favorites from this post, so I'll just leave it at that. =D You are doing an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks Anna! I've only had it a week + a couple days, but it already feels natural wheh I pick it up to take a shot! o.0 I've read endless books on photography in general, several on macro and portraits in particular, and to now have the right combination of camera and lens to finally get the pictures I've always "pictured" in my mind is really...kinda humbling actually. To see it all come together after lots of planning, practice and preparation is really a blessing. =)
DeleteLooking at it now, if I had gotten this camera three years ago, my first photo-shoot probably wouldn't have turned out NEAR as well. God's timing was just right; actually, better.
Thanks!
Oh my gosh. I love these, every single one! <3 I love your portrait photography. :)

Thanks Jessie! When I started out with photography portraits really didn't interest me that much; but now I really enjoy them! =D
DeleteYour sister is *so* pretty looking. And not a big "blow you over like a tidal wave" pretty, but soft and sweet and subtle. And she looks so graceful and feminine. You've got a lovely sister, chicka.
ReplyDeleteAww, You are 100% right Gabby, that's exactly how I would describe my sister. =)
Delete[I like how you defined what you meant by *so* pretty; that phrase gets used so much that it's easy to just use other peoples definition of it even when I mean something different. =)]
Wow, these are awesome! She is so pretty; love the hairstyle :) Seriously great photos, Jenny.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Your a natural at portraits :)
